A 14 day program to fully explore the Ayurvedic understanding of conception, pregnancy, infertility, delivery, post-natal, post-abortion, and pediatric theory. Join this phenomenal group of women as we:

We'll dive deep into the beauty of Kerala and the wisdom of tradition to:
     ....delve into three branches of Ayurveda theory of Rasayana (the science of rejuvenation), Vajikarana (aphrodisiacs and reproductive tonics), and Kaumarabhritya (pre-natal, post-natal and pediatrics)
     ....learn classical and traditional protocols for all phases of fertility, pregnancy, child birthy and post-natal care specifically including preparation for conception, care during pregnancy, mental health support of mother, helpful birthing practices, post-natal restoration, nursing support and infant massage
     .... observe and participate in the post-natal care regimens found in traditional practice in Kerala, including the traditional application of head oils, body oils and herbal bath waters.

Ayurvedic Internship Program

Niika Quistgard welcomes you to Rasa Ayurveda Traditional Healing Centre for Women for this 14 or 21 day experience of a lifetime for women interested in deepening their Ayurvedic knowledge for Women's Health~

This one-of-a-kind internship experience will increase your Ayurvedic knowledge and confidence and will vitalize your practice of Ayurveda for the health and happiness of women of all ages. Applicants must be graduates or students of Ayurveda who possess an understanding of basic Ayurvedic concepts, typically having completed at least one year of formal instruction or rigorous self-study in Ayurveda.

This program offers the opportunity to:

* Explore the living material medica, the botanical wealth that is the root of traditional Ayurveda in Kerala. Make medicines for internal use and healing oils for external use in the traditional way--from fresh ingredients, by hand.

* Observe and discuss actual cases (intake, treatment planning and observation of treatment results). Rasa Ayurveda is a women's clinic, and our focus will be mainly on women's health issues.

* Deeply consider the importance of the mind state of the patient, and learn how best to foster the most healing attitude in our patients.

* Receive and practice performing traditional therapies, such as elakizhi and shirovasti.

* Learn to prepare traditional Kerala dishes in an Ayurvedic context.

* Contribute your time and energies to The Mutashi Project.

* Enjoy time for personal quiet and study, and a chance to connect with other women who practice (or will practice) Ayurveda......

* Extend your internship to 21 days - thru March 25th - to include a weeks' focus on Ayurvedic care for conception, pregnancy, post-partum and post-natal care.
